Hypoege was unearthed during the restoration of the land walls of Istanbul in 1988...
It was restorated in 1989...
It was robbed in 1993...
And now it was forgetten...
It was even forgetten by the thieves...
Inside the hypoege there were stone relievos which showed 4th - 5th century Byzantine sculpture technics.The thieves have broken the lids into 18 pieces but before succeeded stealing them they were captured by the police and all of the pieces were transferred to the archaeological museum of Istanbul.

A l'intérieur du hypoege il y avait reliefs de pierre qui a montré 4e au 5e siècle byzantin voleurs technics.The sculpture ont brisé les couvercles en 18 morceaux, mais avant réussi les voler, ils ont été capturés par la police et toutes les pièces ont été transférées au musée archéologique d'Istanbul .
